A Wet and Miserable Sunday Morning

When i woke up on Sunday it was raining quite heavy and i thought no way this morning but i rang Ike just to make sure and he said its going to blow over (which he repeated several times that morning). Any the upshot was i had no phone call and at 06;50 i was about to go back to bed when Ike's car turned up at the door, so that was it boots on and straight out the door.
We hadn't a clue where we were going, we just headed towards Wirksworth and i mentioned that i had been to Lumsdale and they have opened the middle pond. Our Rob said that's it we'll go there so we did. Well it was still raining so i didn't even get the camera out. So instead of the pics you would have got I'll put a few on from my trip with the Beaurepaire Photography Club on Wednesday evening. I was desperate for a tripod to do the waterfalls but the only thing i could do was rest the camera against a tree for the long exposure shots.
Many thanks to the 2 Arkwright guides Julian & Janice for making the walk very interesting with there great info.

Jeanette and her friend that lives in Lumsdale

Well after the Sunday 4 had been to Lumsdale we called in at Beely Triangle just to see if the heather was out yet and no its not. We had our breakfast in the car then had a look at our old friend one of the Derbyshire guide stoops, then we headed home and guess what as we approached Belper the sun came out!!!
See you next week.
